Punish Alieu Bah, If… -Diamond FC President
The President of a second division team is demanding punishment for Fulani FC boss Alieu Bah if he fails to prove allegations of corruption at the Liberia Football Association (LFA).
The President of Diamond FC, Ebenezer Barclay made the demand when he rejected a campaign led by Mr. Alieu Bah to remove two Executive Committee Members of the Liberia Football Association (LFA), Beauford O. Weeks and Ben Fredericks.
Mr. Barclay said, "For the past weeks, Mr. Bah has decided to light a torch of confusion. He has decided to use our brothers who find themselves in a wilderness to be endorsed by Congress.”
The Diamond FC President then reminded the newly promoted division two clubs that they are not yet admitted as Second Division clubs but only candidates. According to him, they can be rejected based on the LFA Rules and Regulations.
Mr. Ebenezer Barclay, who spoke from Rivercess County , where is he is based, accused Mr. Bah of wanting to join the very Executive Committee being accused of being corrupt.
Barclay noted that it is because Bah wants to become an Executive Committee Member, that he is accusing the Executive Committee of being corrupt. He did not accuse an individual, rather the entire body, he stated.
He has called on the Executive Committee of the LFA not to take lightly the accusations being, calling on the LFA to take punitive action against the accuser.
