PPCC Holds Procurement Training Today

The Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC), in collaboration with the World Bank and Ministry of Public Works will today hold a one day procurement training workshop in Monrovia .

The workshop which seeks to enhance the understanding of the private sector and vendors in the bidding process for goods, works and services, will be held on the Theme: Enhancing private sector understanding and participation in Government of Liberia bidding process.

The Participants, who are mainly vendors and representatives from the private sector, will have the opportunity to enhance their understanding and knowledge about the Liberian Government bidding process and the procedures for filling complaints and appeals.

The workshop will officially commence at 10: am on Friday, May, 9, 2008 in the Conference Room of the Ministry of Public Works.

Meanwhile, the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission is calling on all vendors and representatives of the private sector to turnout en mass and brighten their knowledge and understanding of the Liberian Government bidding process. “Vendors who supply the Liberian Government outside the procurement process run the risk of not being paid by the Ministry of Finance when their vultures are submitted for payment,” PPCC pointed out.
