Lone Stars Move to New Camp in Morocco -Coach Hey Arrives With Europe -based Players Thursday

 Lone Star Football Team training in Morocco will Wednesday, May 21, move to a new camping site, sports authorities here have disclosed.

The new site, Moulay Rachid Sports Complex, located near the Moroccan commercial capital Casablanca , is said to have better facilities and a more serene environment to enhance athletes' concentration.

Following a visit to the area Tuesday, Deputy Sports Minister Marbue Richards, LFA Executive Member Daniel Forkpah and members of the technical staff expressed confidence that facilities there would help adequately prepare the team for its June 1 match with Gambia in Monrovia .

In a related development, head coach Tony Hey will arrive in Morocco Thursday, May 22, along with seven Europe-based Liberian players, including Kelvin Sebwe, George Gebro, Jimmy Dixon and Dioh Williams. The others are Ben Teekloh, Dulee Johnson and Mombo Blamo.

The dispatch quoted Coach Hey as saying players Solomon Grimes and Oliver Makor will not be available for training in Rabat and the game in Monrovia due to Club' engagements..

Hey's deputy, Kemal Halat and a physiotherapist, Daniel Vehring are also expected in Morocco Thursday.

In another development, Lone Star players training in Morocco have been offered the opportunity to under go free fitness examination at the country's Institute of Sports . This followed an appeal for such service by Deputy Sports Minister Richards during a meeting with authorities of the institute.
