Liberian Deported From Israel

Immigration officials in Israel recently deported a Liberian, Mamadee Kromah, for illegally residing in that country.

Liberian Immigration deputy commissioner Archie Williams told reporters that the deportation of Liberians has become a regular issue in recent times. Mamadee Kromah according to documents hails from Nimba County .

Williams however observed that there are lots of foreigners who are living in Liberia illegally, pointing out that his institution would soon embark on the process of registration of aliens.

It can be recalled that several Liberians were deported from the United States for various reasons. Most recently, a group of Liberian refugees in Ghana were forcefully returned home.

There are reports of huge numbers of Ghanaians illegally entering the country weekly using boats and canoes.

Williams said some Ghanaians are currently under detention for illegally entering Liberia , indicating that they are being investigated to determine their status.
