Dillon Wants Speaker Tyler Quit Position
Dairus Dillon, a former Special Assistant to former House Speaker Edwin Snowe says now that the Judiciary Committee has announced submission of findings to the leadership of the House of Representatives in the bribery allegation against some members of the House of Representatives, it is about time that Speaker Alex Tyler recuse himself from the case or resign his post.
Speaker Tyler is accused of being of the people who shared US$5,000 each amongst members of the House of Representative to remove Snowe as speaker of the House.
Dillon said, it is unthinkable for someone accused of such crime to be the one to reveal the findings of such important report from a committee named to investigate those accused.
Dillon in a release over the weekend said Tyler must resign to avoid influencing the committee's report. Speaker Tyler is alleged to have played a key role in the bribery scandal which has engulfed the House for months.
Since the news of the bribery scandal broke, the House of Representatives has been finding it very difficult to disentangle itself from this damaging revelation.
