In Maryland Land Dispute : Dead Man Hand Discovered

Reports reaching the Public Agenda from Maryland County in Southeastern Liberia say, securities forces in the trouble area of Wehehokehn and Rock Towns have discovered the missing hand of one of the victims in the bloody land dispute that erupted between citizens of the two towns.

The report said the discovery of the missing hand follow a clue by some of those being held in detention in connection with the violence in the area.

The report also indicated that the missing hand was in a decay state following days of being tied in a plastic beg in the bush.

The report further said that seven persons each from the disputed areas have also been called by securities forces to find an amicable solution to the problem.

It can be recalled recently when Maryland County Senior Senator John Ballout told journalists that calm has returned to the trouble spots following weeks of land dispute.

According to Senators Ballout, the crisis left two people killed as a result of a fight which ensued between the opposing sides in which machetes and other warlike objects were used.

Senator Ballout said the two dead men came from Wehehokehn Town , adding “a hand of one of the men was amputated and taken away by people from Rock Town during the imbroglio. Several persons were arrested by government securities in connected with the fighting.
