Calm Returns To Maryland County

Maryland County Senior John Ballout has revealed that calm has returned to Maryland County following weeks of Land dispute. The crisis according to Ballout left two people killed as a result of a fight which ensued between the opposing sides in which machetes and other warlike objects were used.
The dead men according to report came from Wehchokehn Town . A hand of one of the men was amputated and taken away by people from Rock Town ..
Addressing reporters at his Capitol Building office Ballout said, he and other traditional leaders toured the affected areas recently and realized that calm has returned to trouble areas. He stated that they received assurances from both sides that peace will reign in the area.
Senator Ballout narrated that as a result of consultation meetings held with elders of the two communities (Rock town and Wehchokehn) all sides agreed to live in harmony.
Several persons have been arrested by government securities in connection with the fighting, according to Senator Ballout.
Meanwhile, he explained that citizens of Wehchoken are demanding the amputated arm of one of the deceased. He stated that the citizens are claiming that the arm was taken away for alleged ritualistic purpose.
According to Senator Ballout, the citizens of the Rock town are contemplating to apologize to the Wehchokehn people ahead of government investigation's finding.
Ballout also said he is concerned about other land related disputes in the county. He called on Government to address these cases to avoid intensification
