Amb. Booth Goes To Zambia As Ambassador
Donald E. Booth, former U.S. Ambassador to Liberia has been confirmed as that country new Ambassador to the Republic of Zambia . Booth has been replaced by Linda Thomas-Greenfield, who has also been confirmed by the U.S. Government.
Others confirmed are:James K. Glassman, of Connecticut , to be Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy with the rank of Ambassador. Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat, of New Jersey , a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Minister-Counselor, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Senegal, and to serve concurrently and without additional compensation as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.
Also confirmed are: William J. Brennan, of Maine , to be Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere, Marianne Matuzic Myles, of New York , a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Minister-Counselor, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Cape Verde, Joseph Evan LeBaron, of Oregon , a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Minister-Counselor, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the State of Qatar, Stephen James Nolan, of Virginia , a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Minister-Counselor, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Botswana .
The U.S. Government also confirmed Gillian Arlette Milovanovic, of Pennsylvania , a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Minister-Counselor, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Mali, Donald Gene Teitelbaum, ofTexas , a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Minister-Counselor, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Ghana and Robert Stephen Beecroft, ofCalifornia , a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Counselor, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan amongst others.
