BFF On Africa , Euro-Asia Partnership
A European union Commission's sponsored project to develop intercultural dialogue and improve tolerance, solidarity and respect among civil society youth organizations, kick-off in the Sicilian capitol, Palermo, Italy.
A Better Future Foundation, Inc. (BFF) communication says, t he project seeks to develop a research on and an exchange of the principal of good practices used by youth organizations from Europe, Asia, Africa and Caribbean, Pacific countries.
BFF President Rev. Augustine S. Arkoi, thanked fellow participants for the preferment of representing Liberia and Africa at the partnership forum, and pledged BFF commitment to research and document the international characters of good practices, which is expected to be exchanged with other youths of the world.
Rev. Arkoi said the platform provides an opportunity to further promote international understanding and cooperation about the plights of post-war Liberian youths and explore innovative programs to compliment efforts of the international community to ensure that youths are actively involve in the reconstruction process of Liberia .
Mr. vito La Fata, President of the Italian based NGO, and organizer of the project, indicated that the initiative will afford participating organizations the tools needed to acquire new knowledge about different good practices, and create new opportunities for youth workers, to develop a worldwide conscience, to create new projects and become leaders, the release further said.
The Project activities according to the BFF release involve, a kick off meeting, a research, youth exchange and participation in job shadowings projects in Italy , Spain , Malta , Germany , Nepal , India , Liberia , Indonesia , Pakistan and Colombia in efforts to combalt racism and xenophobia.
BFF is an NGO that is dedicated to the reconstruction of Liberia , and conducts programs and activities promoting social, economic, cultural understanding and cooperation.
